woke up last night thinking...........always a dangerous partnership........might have a go at writing generic server, and client software for the raspberry thingy.........
or just the client bit to handshake with the existing server stuff.......
raspberry with 7 inch touch screen(question mark here)
surely couldn't generate any more criticism than the current offerings, which all seem to annoy somebody.

Hey I've just been thinking about that Raspberry Pi gizmo as a music streamer. I was thinking about XBMC Live but have not got further than that, say running off a USB stick. Softsqueeze or squeezeslave might be other options.

this looks like a good route...

check out the products section.....
theoretically there is no need for an OS at all....just the bootable client software, which maybe what a squeezebox does.......
I will checkout the raspberry as well tho........I nearly got diverted cos it's the same development system as the one used for android
I have a feeling that it won't be long before there are lots of choices in the audio streaming environment....What are all the current android writers going to do when they run out of ideas for phones!.
diet: if only these were still around at £50????

Heard about this on R4 news this morning. Ears pricked up.
I wonder if its a good way for a computer numpty like me to learn the basics of programming?

Probably, then you can have a go at re-programming the ECU on the whiz bang.Dave the bass wrote:Heard about this on R4 news this morning. Ears pricked up.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Ha! Yeah, good point. I'll aim for less power and more MPG. 144mpg isn't enough.pre65 wrote:
