#1 new adventures with plastic critters

Post by ed »

I've been meaning to prattle a bit more about the dark side for a while. I was reminded by a post that SimonC recently made about Morgan Jones loudspeaker.

TeluriumQ released a mosfet SE class A amp(Iridium 20) last year and it won all the magazine accolades(not necessarily meaningful to us cynics), amp of the year etc etc...

anyway, the point, it sells for something approaching £4k and it seems to go head on with the principles championed in the Pass/firstwatt articles......

so, another good read(imo) by Srajan Ebaen, to be found here:

www.6moons.com/audioreviews/telluriumq/4.html

I've always found Srajan to be a good read, YMMV, but either way it's interesting that he's ditched all his valve gear recently.....

there's an interesting comparison between the iridium and the F5.

I've currently got an F6 and a SE single stage choke loaded SIT amp on the go...what I originally thought was good a few years back has got even better. I may have already built my last valve amp.

more contentious public service posting.....snigger

Revamp or rebuild or just chuck it away. Incatech reminded me of Cyrus 1 till it conked out. Inca. Not Cyrus.

I've heard it, didn't float my boat, prefer the Cyrus 1 too.
