#1 Pass B1 buffer

Post by pre65 »

I was reading about the Pass B1 pre + buffer on Ed's web site and wondered if it still cuts the mustard.

Is it still held in high regard ?

Nope.

Yep. I have a decent one with good components and I reckon it's pretty good. I'll bring it to Owston for you to have a listen Phil.

It is a valid opinion Greg.

Thanks for the offer Ali, I might take you up on that. :)

I built one and it worked. It sounded fine. Only 0.95 gain so it would be fine with a Greg amp. And it sounded pretty good until I used my WADpre2 and several other preamps. The Buffer preamp sounded grey lifeless and dull.

It got recycled quickly.

I brought it to Owston some years ago.

That's much more helpful. Thanks!
