#1 B1 Passive Preamp

Post by ed »

heres the link to the B1 that I alluded to in another thread

http://www.passdiy.com/pdf/B1%20Buffer%20Preamp.pdf

I've found it very neutral, although the only way I can judge it is with a ropey old CD player as all my sources have digital attenuation.....

perhaps it'll get a shake down the next time Steve has a small do??

Hi Ed
I've been waiting for Pass to make the PCBs available for the B1 (I don't have the knowledge to build it from scratch) and when they did become available they got snapped up immediately. Have to wait for the next batch.

Good news that you are impressed with it. I plan on hooking mine up to my TVC rather than using an Alps pot as Pass did.

My B1 is very happily playing. I agonised about building it for weeks.
I won't bore you with the details but I crammed it into a spare WADpre2 and .... yeah, nice, very nice indeed!

not saying! ;-)

Only two LPs into listening so far. Let's say, for now that I am 'enthusiastic' about B1 and want to marry Mr Pass' daughter - something like that. :D
