#1 Wanted Matched Pair PCC189 Tubes

Have a new schematic supplied by my Phonostages Designer.
It will allow for the use of 2 X PCC189 Tubes.
If there is a matched pair available to offer, I will consider them.

Well that's an obscure valve. However the curves remind me of the 6GK5 as used by Arthur Loesch.
Bit of 2nd-harmonic to add to the mix. Could be good.

The 6GK5 looks a lot more linear to me. Wonder what the valve has instead of using an ecc88 which it looks very like (other than the heater) and the kink in the curves.

If you Google HiFi Und Lebensart Mr Nixie DIGNA.
Use Google Translate , the forum pages from 56 - 60, will give the reasoning and show a few Oscilloscope readings, that relate to the use of these valves.

I think the point they are making is the variable mu adds some compression. As I said, its a bit less linear than a ecc88.
