#1 F/S Scan Speak D2905/9500

Post by Scottmoose »

A matched pair of Scan Speak's famous D2905/9500 dome tweeters, as used in speakers like Lynn Olson's Ariel. Still in original box and packing, numbers 70 & 71 of their batch. Mounted in a test enclosure once, have had approximately 20 minutes light use. Basically 'as new' condition. I've been hanging onto them as I like the 9500 a lot, but I'm not going to get chance to use them any time in the near future (not enough space), so better they move on than just sit on the shelf.

Asking £150pr.

Nice ! - somebody will bite your hand off for those - must be very few around in that condition. The pair I have in the Ariels are in very good nick too - sometimes think about advertising them - and the Vifas.

Ariels = I like. :) I had been meaning to do something inspired by it but with the Revelator midbass units and one of my own QW variations, which is why I've been hanging on to the 9500s. But I don't really have the space at the moment, and my wallet is weeping at the thought of the £650 I need for 2 pairs of Revelators. So best to let them go. One day though...

Reduced to £100 as I need to try to recoup a loss I've suffered elsewhere.

Have you put them on DIY Audio, because people are regularly asking for drivers for the 'Ariel' on there ?

I'll take them, please Scott. Can PayPal you tonight or cash at the weekend. Can I pick them up at Owston, please?

Sold to that man. :) Cash at the weekend is fine with me Greg, and I'll bring them along to Owston.

Cheers

Hi Greg, unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make Owston. I'm bleeding money I don't have & now just discovered a 4in lump of metal through one of my rear tyres. I have to be down in London tomorrow / Friday & the only time I could get for the replacement to be fitted on Saturday was 1230. So I'll package them up safely & ship them on to you -I'll cover the postage costs of course. Sorry about that. Could you PM me your address? I did have it, but I think it was one of the victims when I had an HDD crash earlier this year.

I have a pair and a set of 4 of the Vifa's in good condition currently in a set of Ariel 6C's which I could sell at some stage.
