Hi gents,
Just wondering if anyone has a pair of 6-8" full-range units around that they'd like to sell.
Looking at Fostex FE-series, FF-series, Mark Audio Alpairs, Tang Band units...
You get the idea. I'd like something reasonably nice, but not ridiculously expensive. Looking to spend £100-150, but I'll happily spend less.
Preferably pickup at Owston as posting delicate things can go wrong.
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
Colin & I have two pairs of very lightly used original Alpair 10s going that may be of interest. I believe Colin also has a pair apiece of the current generation Alpair 10s (paper & metal cone versions) that I know he'll be willing to part with. If any are of interest, fire either of us a PM & we can sort a price out easily enough.
Cheers

Could be persuaded to sell the FF225WK's I recently got , now the folded horn is picking up momentum.
£150 would be what I'd ask. No boxes though...

I think Tekton use Eminence drivers full out in some of their well liked speakers, but add a gently rolled-in tweeter to help with high frequency dispersion, as larger drivers apparently don't 'disperse' well, apparently... (a shame import charges ruin the great value in their home market)
Not much help I'm afraid, but good luck

Hi gents,
I'm looking for something that'd be good for a larger version of my small boxes + PR and EQ approach. The Alpair 12s would do nicely, I think, since the MA drivers tend to have a good rated Xmax (I'm aware of the limitations on those figures). I'm shying away from the metal Alpairs because IIRC they're not so good for "oops" moments where you've got a big amp and do something stupid.
Colin, how much would you want for the pair?
Let me know by PM if you like.
