#1 A very good evening to you all!

Post by Sir Cedric Minge »

Its rather remiss of me not to introduce myself... but a very good day to you all here on the audio-talk forum from me, Sir Cedric Minge (former under secretary to the guvnor of Jaipur no less). Since my retirement, my good lady wife and I often relax in front of the gramophone listening to soothing melodies whilst supping gin slings before supper. Its simply divine and I look forward to sharing stories and anecdotes aplenty!

Down the hatch dear fellows... what what!!!

...and a belated hello to you too Christopher my dear fellow. Your welcome, albeit addressing me by the wrong name, is very much welcome my good man. My good lady wife and I are about to take luncheon, so I raise my nice large glass of wine in your direction and say down the hatch dear fellow :king:

I'm Sir Cedric Minge, DFC and Bar (retired) at your service dear fellow! My good lady wife and I now run Ye'old Furry Chalice, a hostelry come bed & breakfast in Bexhill. Special rates for our American cousins, dude :alien:

It seems that my presence has ruffled a few feathers, not only here, but also in the general hifi fora world, far beyond the fair shores of this oasis. I mean no harm or offence gentlemen, I'm simply here to take advantage of Nicholas' hospitality and ensure that fair play ensues. There are far too many tin pot dictators masquerading as forum administrators, so having this fine portal available to right the wrongs taking place elsewhere is a vital service for which Nicholas should be commended. Indeed, it wouldn't surprise me if he has good news when the next honours list is released. A vote of thanks is simply not enough. :love3:

Funny that, I always thought this was s hifi forum, rather than an unofficial branch of ACAS. Silly me.
The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Ahhhh, alas my dear Shane, if only that were the case my good man. It seems that all hifi fora are blighted by irrelevant tittle tattle of some type or another. From cats to cars, from smut to innuendo, even this fine forum has a General section sub-divided with warm cuddly areas where all manner of non hifi related chit chat takes place. If the powers that be provide them, then by jingo my good man, they shall be used!

And a very good evening to you too Nicholas. I'm overwhelmed, nay deeply moved with your concern about my whereabouts. I'm extremely pleased to report that my good lady wife and I have been to visit her in-laws who reside in a very nice abode in Carshalton Beeches. As you are very quick to point out to the geographically challenged, this is not a million miles away from Croydon, but its also an short elephant ride from dear old Dickie in Sidcup. I'm also happy to report that everybody is tickerty boo, despite the recent cold snap
