All calmed down now. So now you see the historic pattern, by this time normally they would have won and I would be banned, but it seems (I hope) they have given up and I can just be me without their bollocks interfering. So is me ok, are you hosting the devil, obviously not! but not an angel either - a human being with things to do and say.

Who to thank, well has to be Nick to let it play out and the arses to get bored with it not working.

I think the patented Audio Talk Automatic Food Discussion Tactic has been a lot of help, not to mention the departure of Mudshark and a bit of peace and quiet from our friend in Sweden, but you're quite right. As is so often the case, Nick's gentle hand on the tiller steered the ship through the storm.

Peace, brother, as they used to say a long time ago...

But I'm probably not.

Och.......What can one say that's not blatantly obvious.

They want discussion, but they only want positive posts, any post
that goes against the grain, and the hackles go up.

Folks are so pissed off with Docs bollocks they would sooner talk about roast beef n yorkies than listen to his shit anymore.

Cheers.

Of course you are, my bright little star...
I've miles and miles of files
Pretty files of your forefather's fruit
And now to suit our great computer
You're magnetic ink!

I'm more than that.
I know I am.
At least, I think I must be.

Let it be known that I have never previously admitted publicly to being a Moodies fan.

Lovely to see you again, my friend.

There's eight albums of this stuff to quote from. Some of it's absolutely brilliant, and some a bit cringeworthy. Although they were definitely musicians of the same calibre as the best of the Prog bands, somehow they never managed to gather the same level of credibility. For all that, I still listen to them as much as any other band from that time, but somehow it doesn't "do" to admit it!
Probably something to do with hippy-dippy poems recited in a brummie accent, and heavy reliance on the Mellotron. Those poems do stick in the mind, though!

When the white eagle of the North is flying overhead
The browns, reds and golds of autumn lie in the gutter, dead.
Remember then, that summer birds with wings of fire flaying
Came to witness springs new hope, born of leaves decaying.
Just as new life will come from death, love will come at leisure.
Love of love, love of life and giving without measure
Gives in return a wondrous yearn of a promise almost seen.
Live hand-in-hand and together we'll stand on the threshold of a dream.
