I don't recall seeing one of these types of thread on AT so what the hell, I'll start one.

So.... I'm listening right now to a rip of the first volume of " A Cellar Full of Motown"

This 2002 double CD contains 40 previously unreleased gems from the vaults of Hitsville USA.
If you are a Northern Soul lover, you'll have heard one or two of them as horrible sounding bootlegs, but here the tracks are pristine and taken straight from the original masters.

The Funk Brothers are on top form on these joyous historical documents.

The sound is top class too. It's what EL84s were made for :D :D

Thanks for the heads up on that Dave. Once I'd figured out how to un rar the WAV files on a Mac, I had a listen and I liiiiike. Great music.

BASS...How low can you go?

Awesome baby!

Here's a group you might like.

Nubiyan Twist.
a West Yorkshire 10 piece Dub-Afro Beat-HipHop outfit with a killer horn section.

Their site has a few sound cloud streams to check out.
I dig them to bits :D

There's a bit of Fat Freddy's Drop going on in that sound too IMO. Nice.

I'm having a live album fest this afternoon.

Right now I'm listening to Miles Davis, "Live Around The World"
The second track, "Intruder" has just started.
This album is one of the best sounding live albums I have.
The Hadouk Trio's bonus live CD companion to "Utopies" being another cracker. That's coming next.

I'm gone man :)

This afternoon I was listening to Classic FM via Squeezebox. Classic FM stopped transmitting, so I retuned to a classic radio station in Fort Worth, Texas.

"Human Nature" is in full swing now, Kenny Garrett's alto sax solo on this track is one of those all too rare moments that just leave you speechless.

Me neither! Bought it the other day 2nd hand, camera work is a bit shaky and low budget but the sound and music is awethumne (IMO).

Brand X : 'Unorthodox Behaviour' .... again .
Just testing the amp with 'Nuclear Burn' since I rebuild it from C3g/6B4G to C3m/300B .
There's a good chance I might listen to the whole album .
