Tangerine Dream - “Poland”
A little pressie from Nigel, when he came to pick up the Masterpiece Preamp.

Excellent live album. Complements my copy of the 1975 Cathedral tour live album “Ricochet” from 9 years earlier. Interesting to hear how they evolved after Peter Baumann left. I lost interest after the 1978 “Cyclone” album, when I lurched off the prog path, into R&B/Soul, so have quite a bit of catching up of their later work to do.

Currently enjoying this:

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

Casey Mac’Gill’s Blue 4 Trio.
Jump jive, swing, boogie-woogie and three part harmonies - Love it! :)
And a small band swing version of The Beatles’ “You Can’t Do That” ......crazy man.

Fun, melodic, proggy and accessible, all at the same time.

The above album, TD’s ‘Richochet’, ‘Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow’, Rick Wakeman’s ‘Arthur’ and Cyrille Verdeaux’s ‘Clearlight Symphony’ were the last ‘proper’ LPs I bought before soul took over. I have none of them now and am reduced to streaming to hear them again. The things we do as kids! :(
