Mark Lettieri - Deep: The Baritone Sessions.
This is seriously funky stuff, with tight, driving grooves and much heft in the lower regions.
Recommended!

Nice simple bit of blues rock. First band I ever saw live, about a month before this was shot.

The world looks so different after learning science. For example, trees are made of air, primarily. When they are burned, they go back to air, and in their flaming heat is released the flaming heat of the Sun which was bound in to convert air into tree.

That's a classy album ...
I was inspired to look for this track, recommended years ago by another Ed -

Just got home from seeing Eddi Reader and her band at the local theatre. She's barking but what a great show and that amazing voice!

Fantastically evocative rendition of Fairground Attraction (the song).

Must listen again to the Fairground Attraction and her solo albums, it's been too long.

The support act, Dan Whitehouse, was excellent too; one man and a guitar singer/songwriter stuff.

It's been a good weekend for live music as we also saw the Moriaty wind quintet on Friday evening.
Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Tangerine Dream - Cyclone. Vinyl, Courtesy of our Ant for Father’s Day.

40 years since I heard this. I was a bit nonplussed with the first side of this album when I first heard it back in 1978, due to the proggy vocals and more “conventional” rock group format; very Pink Floyd. But 40 years on, I’ve decided it is fooking brilliant. Underrated when it came out, but has worn very well.
Sgt. Baker started talkin’ with a Bullhorn in his hand.

Timothy Leary....

a friend just sent me this link:

I have to confess I'd never heard this before, but it's got one of the busiest bass(almost bubbling) that I can remember hearing.
there is some background here:
