I had 'in blissful company' but sold it when I got rid of all my vinyl...bummer...all I've got now is a best of......saw them at the oval in one of those hippy summer does in 1971 or 1972..can't remember it but I'm sure it was fab.

there is one Raja Ram involved, him of Shpongle fame....I'm pretty sure dtb is a big fan as well.
Luckily I have all of their albums. Great live with all that incense!
Beautiful artwork on all their releases especially "In blissful company" and you can't get that on a download or cd!!

Almost by accident I found myself absorbed by The Grateful Dead, 1967 but now I'm back with Laura Mvula.

Laura Uvula ?
First GD album, has a great fresh feel to it. Love that early version of 'Morning Dew'.

Communique...Dire Straits recorded from vinyl to cassette on a Nakamichi 682ZX. Lovely organic analogue sound.

funniest thing......

I ordered the bros landreth album 'let it lie' from amazon after Chris recommended it some time back. It didn't arrive so I've been liaising with the amazon supplier to get another copy or a refund. Communication with the supplier(Sharon S) dried up so I contacted amazon and today got my money back.

I've just looked for another supplier and many report unavailable/out of stock. Maybe that's why Sharon S was reticent about getting back to me..

must be a good album!

The Bros. Landreth CD distribution looks to a shambles, Ed.
Their 2 CD releases are also available for download on Qobuz.
I did try to get hold of their 2nd CD, but it's currently only available from their web store, and I'd have bought it but for it working out at nearly £30.00
The download of the 2nd CD from Qobuz came in at £5.59

You know (like) when you've been listening to music's for years, along the way you listen to so much music coming up at the time that what tickles you in the aural love lumps then can get replaced with the next new thing and the next and the next and the next etc and then forgotten about until something/someone prompts a recall? (more rhetorical than an actual question).

So when that does happen, for me, its like getting touch with a friend you were real close to for a while but then you naturally drifted apart just because of whatever.

I listened to this a lot when it came out, it was new, it was messy, it was catchy, it had a 'hit' and it had loads of odd distortion of every type and tricks and influences...

I was lucky enough to hear it again today, 4 times in a row. My love lumps are tickled again. I think I like it more now that I did then.
