Apart from the aeronautical equivalent of the 'pit girls' who more or less attend to my whims, wishes and desires en voyages, as it were, the entourage just fit into my ageing 747. Where runways aren't long enough, at the other end, practical alternatives to hiring smaller planes and often several Chinook helicopters would be welcome. I am, after all, very ecology aware and am always, within reason, willing to do my share.

Ahem!!

as you don't currently contribute to mine I think it only right and proper that I send you my bank details in order for you to feel some form of closure. We can call it wish fulfilment.

nb. there maybe some spelling inconsistencies and infinitive splitting in the above. If so I apologise.

Nor mine either

Mind you my two are modest enough not to trouble the tax threshold when added together, so I'm definitely not one of them mythical wealthy pensioners the right wing rags have been banging on about since 2010, but it'll do me, my needs are few, as are those of the missus - eat and pay the bills will do for us. :)

I'll give you a ring, early on this week to sort something.

The Pink SET is now stripped out and ready for its luxury fettle...but no more today.

It's taken me most of this week to get an encapsulated 6V transformer, mounted, to supply the DC modules for the 2A3 filaments. Need to focus

At long last, the DC filament modules are mounted and powered up from seperate LT transformer windings:

Tagstrips make the job much easier as there's no cramming of multiple component leads onto valve tags not man enough to take the pressure. I've done more dry joints and broken more tags than I've had hot dinners, through not using tagstrips, and yes, with tagstrips, there are more solder joints, but it's better to have a larger number of high quality joints than it is to have fewer joints of low quality.
The strips in this amp are ones I haven't used before. They have turned out to be an excellent investment.
