Thanks Nick, I think I understand. What threw me was the 200mA max. These aren't the regs for an output stage biased at 80mA hoping it will happily vary between 0mA and 160mA (plus the 15mA through the zeners). What it's really intended for is a screen bias for instance, or perhaps a preamp or pre stage, in which case you're not going to be bothered about 200mA max. Right?

Absolutely. Screen supplies and preamps is where its at.

Anywhere where signal levels are low and s/n needs to be managed carefully. It's a neglected area...

With bulk purchases, excluding P&P, I've got the cost (including VAT) down to £15.00 for each full kit and £9.00 for each expansion board.

P&P within the UK is £1.50 for each multiple of 4 boards of any type (or part thereof), e.g. 2 kits + 2 expansion would be £1.50, 4 kits + 2 expansion would be £3.00 P&P as the expansion boards are the same size and only slightly lighter than the full kits.

Each shipment will contain a printed colour manual.

I have 42 kits/expansion to make up (there's a magic number!) but currently have only enough 10uF poly caps for 24 - rest are on order and will probably take a couple of weeks (from HK)... I have 15 PCBs left from the first run and another 50 on order which should arrive next week.

I'll send out invoices when your bits are ready to ship - USA P&P will be a bit more and overall rate will be converted to USD using XE.COM on the day.

Summary:
  • MJSR-KIT : £15.00
  • MJSR-EXP : £9.00
  • P&P : £1.50 per multiple of 4 boards or part thereof.
Cheers

Kits mostly done - just waiting on some more 10uF caps.... 2,100 components into 42 bags... going to have a bit if an argument at the post office as the packets are more than 1 inch thick (because of the big capacitor) so may not count as a letter, thus pushing up p&p...

I need everyone's addresses by PM please (except the original testers) asap.

Might as well pay the extra p and p to be sure because if it gets added at our end it costs more so than if payed correctly in first place, and requires trip to post office where as some folk if they are in to receive the parcel will get it sooner without this extra postage charge (a parsel actually delivered when someone is in that isn't a teenager is an experience I am unfamiliar with)!

Thanks for all your hard work though?

Nick, if anyone falls by the wayside and the opportunity to buy a second kit arises I could use an additional kit or two please.

Thanks

I sensibly have a few spare kits from this run - you're currently down for 1V - how many more and what type would you like?

Cheers

BTW. The capacitors from HK arrived just before Christmas, so the kits are now all ready to go...

Not yet - should be early next week - I will be stuffing envelopes this weekend and then checking what the postage will be - until I know that I can't issue invoices... I'll just trust you :)

I have the following addresses: Steve, Thomas, Ant, Ray, Michael, Dave & TinEar.

I don't seem to have: Simon, Paul, Ali (apologies if I've simply mislaid these)

Could the last three please PM me their mailing address?

Ta!
