I'm impressed already.

Applying 350v to the injury might not repair it, but I assure you it will take your mind off the original problem.

Komrade DHTski update.
His monster PSU is coming along at a fair old rate of knots. Every break and my lunch time today was spent fettling.
Made up the 2 bridges then assembled the CCR onto heatsinks and soldered in most of the components. Just need to link the pot's up now for each channels adjustment and the PSU will be finished.
The o/ps from the PSU will be approx 300v DC HT, 6.3v AC floated at 38 v DC, and 2 separate adjustable 6.3 volt CC regulated (1 for each 6B4G cathode).
I've not linked or referenced either of the CC outputs to anything or each other. Is that right? The 0-9 0-9 50VA TX is a double bobbin type so each channel is totally independent from one another.

Yep, they need to be floating and only connected to the fillament of the valves.I've not linked or referenced either of the CC outputs to anything or each other. Is that right? The 0-9 0-9 50VA TX is a double bobbin type so each channel is totally independent from one another.

Thanks Nick.
I'll be away all next week so you can have a rest from me ....but I'll be back with a vengeance to start the amp in a short while (unless my ankle starts working again properly and I can go out to play 'wheelies' in which case it'll have to wait until I damage summink else).
I'll try and get some piccies up tomorrow so you can see what I've done so far.
Cheers for all the help so far.

As promised here's some piccies of DHTski's boiler room.
There won't be any progress for a while as I'm out and about for a bit but the amp will be built soon-ish.
Outputs are good, nice controllable swing on the variable DHT heater o/p's. Thanks for the design there NickG, works a treat into various dummy load resistor's.

EDIT. Just noticed I've spelt 'project' wrong, derrrr!

...and anuvver fing. Yesterday afternoon 2 of the 1N55820's went down in the HT BR. I have no idea why, hence the old salvaged silicon BR.
I need to order 2 1N5820's but it seems daft to just order 2 diodes so I'll wait to see if I need anymore bit's at a later date.
Other than that everything schweet.

Err, Arn't they 20v rectifiers?
I would have thought UF4007 would have been a better choice if its the B+ supply.

AHA! That'll be the reason, I thought they were the diode of choice for the whole supply, my bad as those kewazzy merrycans sayNick wrote:Err, Arn't they 20v rectifiers?

Look's like I'll have to 'UF' it up , I'll put an order in later.
