#1 JTM45 Clone Build

Post by RobW »

Just thought I'd share a couple of pictures of the latest build. Note the Transformers supplied by Living in the past. Sounds amazing and weighs a tonne. Rob :)

Good effort ! - looks very organised and solidly built . With the lack of 45's and the presence of a lot of knobs & jack sockets, is this a guitar amp ?

Hi,

that looks like a very neat and tidy build.

Really the perfect choice of Marshall amp.

Take care...

Very nice indeed !!!
I love DIY marshall clones.

- I am just about to start a build of a 50w model 1986 Marshall clone as my next amp. I have several guitar amps and a clone of a Park 1210 Rockhead was my last one. I want the cathode follower sound of the Plexi 1986 circuit though.

Cheers

Ye, fantastic amps. Recently finished this one, the cab was the biggest job. Had to do the finger joints with a jigsaw. The covering was also quite difficult. :)

Love it Rob - super job
bet it sounds wonderful.

I have to stem the amp building for a while to work on a few bits of outboard gear for my home studio.
What else have you built ?

Cheers

Thanks Pete. This was my fourth. My first valve amp was built from a kit and I guess that’s where I got the bug from. This is the first with a fixed bias supply, the others were all cathode biased amps. I’m really looking forward to building another.

Good luck with your studio and amp building. I have a small studio, too small really could do with a bigger house to hold the gear, lol.

Cheers Rob 
