#1 I just bought ONE capacitor !
Just made a rather painful transaction -
Bought ONE Black Gate 220uF/160V 'NH' capacitor from Benny Glass at DIY Paradiso in Belgium .
It cost me £75 including postage
It was the last one he had ( it will be a proper one ) and the only 'NH' cap I have been able to find anywhere lately .

#4 none
I don't believe they actually have any -
Go to the 'shop' section -

"There are no products to list in this category"
It's the same for all the BG sub-types , in fact they appear to have none of any type now .

I use BGs but wonder about paying over the odds for them now. Is there really nothing else that's decent at sensible money?
cheers,
Stephen

I haven't found anything yet, for some crucial applications.
The really tough one to solve is cathode bypass caps at 100V rating . The NH's are so much better than anything else there, it's depressing to see them disappearing . I haven't tried Silmic II's but they look like the best option otherwise - I don't think they will be quite as transparent .
For main power supplies you can get very close with GE poly/oil caps and film/foil bypass, instead of WKZ's .
The other ones that are almost irreplaceable are the 1000u/25V NX(red) ones which are fabulous for cathodes in phono amps. I just saw one being sold for £80 on EBay

Watch out for fake BG's, which is 'big business' now.
In other words don't buy ANY from eBay unless you know the seller very well.

Mark, in response to your first post: lol!
I'm going to try the Silmic II's in the next line stage, tho,
have most of the parts but we're probably talking early autumn
before the first breadboard ...

Please tell us what you find, about Silmic II ; especially if you can compare against a well-know alternative !
For info, this cap is going to end up in the shunt-reg power supply, on the cathode of the KT88 :

(see power supply)
Since it's the return path for most of the music, I may as well bite the bullet and use the best I can get .

I have a stash of BGs and don't use them because they are so expensive. This is a silly attitude but ......hm
Philosophers have only interpreted the world - the point, however, is to change it. No it isn't ... maybe we should leave it alone for a while.
