Some full wave valve rectifiers have a minimum series resistance listed on the data sheet. On a GZ32 it is 150 Ohms.
But, I can't remember if this resistance is for the total transformer winding, or each half ?

each half if centre tapped as only one half conducts at a time, and at that only to each half of a full wave regulator valve (dual construction). But only applies to cap input and only when using the max size cap they specify. Never use greater cap, if use lesser cap resistance cna be lesser to an extent.
make up resistance with Ww resistor.

Each anode, and you have to measure the winding resistance, then subtract that from, in this case, 150R, and that is the value for the resistors. See also my other post.
