No think about it ~ must be guaranteed to carry the rated 16A max. without getting hot and starting a fire, hence must be low resistance

I was thinking more in terms of a switched decade attenuator like mine has got. Not many steps tho I'll grant you but does allow more accurate output level control down to millivolts. This is in addition to the "volume control" which then becomes a "fine" control. :D Hope that is...

Is that right? That's interesting because quite often piezos seem to have a bad rep most likely because of too many cheap nasty ones we've had in the past LOL
