Thanks very much Gary . Not too different from Hornresp . Good to have the 'Q' values .
One question : did you use 16R impedance or 8R , as the predicted 2.83V sensitivity looks quite low - I was expecting high-90's ?

Ooops !
I'm going to take the sealed-box option with the Fane Studio 8M forward and see if I can live with the small, rigid enclosure. It shouldn't take too long to build in a rough form .

re. Kind of Blue Is this what you're looking for? http://snvinyl.co.uk/epages/eshop943300.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/eshop943300/Products/MFSL2-45011&ViewAction=ViewProduct No, I'm talking about the 'Classic Records' version which was released maybe 10 years ago. I'm suspicious of Mobile Fideli...

You lot are bad for my bank balance. Just bought the 45rpm reissue. Just have to work the weekend to pay for it.. :D Poseur ! Is that Classic Records, Ali ? I'm still vaguely looking for the 2LP 45rpm 'Kind of Blue' , but it's now collectable. The normal original copies of 'Some day my prince wil c...

Well I'm not expecting 100Hz flat , but I was expecting something around 120-130Hz , and a response OK for crossover around 100 to 110Hz . I've had the high-pass on there and off, before, it's useful but not a make-or-break issue sound-wise ( at the moment ) . I can reinstate it when I get time this...

Instead of saying its never gonna happen, would you guys care to explain why that's the case? Time-alignment can be an issue, yes, but once that's sorted, what else is there? I'm sorry I was short-tempered above, Chris, but really there is a lot more to it than time-alignment . Framing it in techni...

Come on guys, I need quality midrange in the 200Hz to 1000Hz range to try & keep up with the compression driver. Name 'a quality 12" PA driver' that sounds nice in that area at 70-80dB level . Phil, the bass from a 4ft high TH tower with a 10" driver inside is pretty impressive, though...

OK - Bass/mid area, 70 or 100Hz to 700Hz+ . Two options have or are being considered actively, with two others possible : (i) 122Hz wooden Tractrix with either Fane Studio 8M or B&C 8PE21 driver ( 8" ) . 100Hz to 700 . This has been built ( now Mk.2 ) & trialed with both drivers and has...

It will help me make some sense of it too :confused3: Let's start from the top .. 1. Tweeter , ~7000Hz+ 1st-order high pass : most l...
