If you loose the cathode bypass cap do you loose linearity or just gain ?

We tryed my set up again with the speakers in phase this time Then swapped various power amps in and out To my ears the F5 was most complimentary to my speakers (not an easy task) giving sound that didn't give me a headache after a few minutes This bears out my...

Yes it turned out i had got the red and black banana plugs the wrong way round on one of my lengths of Cat 5 speaker cable. So what everyone heard on Saturday and what i have been listening to at home for some time has been out of phase ! :oops: So things did sound better after this was noticed but ...
