Microwave oven seals - I took mum's old microwave to a charity shop. Though it was getting on a bit it was in good working condition but they said the door seal was likely to be defective. Has anyone on here tested for microwave leakage on their microwave? I had assumed a little leakage might affect...

I fail to understand why the government is so reluctant to use a windfall tax on profits over and above those expected in a normal year. Presumably normal profit levels are sufficient to finance futher exploitation of gas/oil fields.

does anybody know of any method(s) to stop a cat spraying in the house. I have a recurring problem in my work room. I read on the web that washing down with vinegar is effective, but I've done that 2 or 3 times now and it still happens. Cats rarely sit still for this so you've done well. Joking apa...

Advice wanted and warning.. Last Month I sent a parcel with an 8 channel dac to someone. I sent it UPS via parcel monkey. They couldn't deliver as couldn't find the address, and returned it to Parcelmonkey. I have evidence they received it, but in the 3 ensuring weeks it hasn't been returned to me....

Are those using self service tills enabling supermarkets to employ fewer staff? I feel this is the case and part of my reason for not using them.

I won't use self service tills. WH Smiths offer no alternative at airports - don't use the shops.

We're on a road trip in France and at one of the gites we stayed at it transpired the hosts and I share a love for Italian motorcycles. He had a Moto-Guzzi Le Mans and she a Ducati 600SS. It appears that bullying staff and lying to Parliament and the public are acceptable behaviours whereas viewing porn is not, though this took some deliberation.
