Another tip for getting alloy parts shiny are these rubbery polishing blocks which can be used as is or with water. If you clean in one direction on amp surfaces it gives a nice satiny smooth grained finish. I use the "blue" one mostly on amp top plates. http://www.moleroda.com/acatalog/Ab...
