That's quite a low power one, there is a separate 6.3V heater for rectifier valve, but low power (only 1 Amp) e.g. say 6X5, EZ81 and such like. It won't run a GZ34 even with a dropper resistor to make the Volts right.

the rocky had the psu in the same box and i suspect would have been better as a 2 boxer. with the 2a3 when i took the heater txs out of the amp and stuck them in the psu box there was a subtle difference for the better, well i preferred it anyway. I think this is referring to 'crosstalk', :?: so you could get crosstalk via the power supply as well as other means say capcitance between opposite channel signal leads and such-like. OK by adding 10k to the left channel seems to get the stereo image more properly in the middle. Shifting listening position doesn't do it properly cos of distances from speakers become unequal, creating phase errors. line of vaguely related context demarcation ---------------------------------------...
