I've been using them since 2006 peer to peer around my cisco router. I first installed them for the squeezebox, served from a buffalo NAS.

I havn't had a single issue with them since day 1...(touch wood).....

thanks Al I'm guessing that's a lithium battery....lithium batteries are known to misbehave, especially the polymer variety.....the lipo variety cannot be extinguished in water as they produce copious amounts of oxygen when they go commando..........
