cheers all - yep that looks about the going price Phil
thanks anyway
- bloody "american" tubes ! I think they all come out of the reflector factory anyway.
I might try a Lithuanian source I have used before and see if they have any.

WTB - couple of 6072 or 12AY7 valves
Hi all,
latest amp just finished but needs better 12aY7 or 6072 valve.
looked on ebay and all I can find are somewhat pricey EH 12AY7's - mainly from the States.

WTB - Solderable Eyelets ?
Hi All, building amps again and looking for some solderable eyelets like ones used in classic guitar amps on phenolic boards. Typically 2.5 to 3mm internal barrel diameter. I like this mode of construction using eyelets on a fibre/phenolic board - easy to solder and to modify. There are plenty of ey...

Hi Paul, hope the PX25s work out well for you. Even though on their 3rd date they didn't see any action on the second date with me, they just sat in a box while I got busy with building other valve gear for my home studio ! Dave - the longboard has gone down very well at home..... we had a road ridi...

So, bunged a couple of old brimars in to test things out before trying the new Svets. have 450v across the el34s. plate to cathode. -39v across the 880 Ohm cathode resistors - so 44.3ma each side. 44.3ma x 450v = c. 20watts dissipation - so about 80% of recommended - quite hot but not crazy ? Haven'...

Hi chaps, got up ( very ) early today and rewired the 6EM7/300B into a 6EM7/EL34 trioded amp. pics later .... found a really neat trick for moving the 2A 5V DC heater supplies to 6.3V supplies for the EL34's - lifting the ground leg of the 5V regulators and inserting red LEDs to raise the reference ...
