Thanks to Nick, I have managed to get the latest downloads from the MSI site and sound is now working.

It seems the MSI update system does not like Firefox, and I got it done in IE in the end.

Would uninstalling Realtek AC97 and replacing it with something like Winamp be easier, and more reliable ?

As far as I can see there is not a separate soundcard, Board is a MS-6719 version 1 (Medion ?)

Seems that the "search" programme on Windows XP has been updated, and I cant get it to do what the old method did. Any way of going back to the "old" search facility ? The "old" way could search through everything on the hard drive, or am I not using the newer version p...
