Don't I know it, I find myself wondering how Redgrave, Pinsent, et al did it after every session on the rowing machine.

Still, I reassure myself that I'm not doing badly for someone who's turned sixty.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

The hard work and miles seem to be paying off. After a rest day yesterday I had a session in the gym ths evening and smashed my PB for my virtual 7mile ride by 40seconds; best time down from 19min 23sec to 18min 43sec! Whooaar, thats an average of nearly 22.5mph - I didn't expect that. Just goes to ...

Re: Charity Bike Ride

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the very kind and generous donations I've received from members here - super stuff.

Oh, and this is a little bump too, just in case anyone else was inclined but forgot....

Cheers

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Out again early this morning before more rain is forecast to arrive. I headed east out onto a ridge above the Somerset levels then back for a hard climb up onto the top of the Quantock Hills; https://i.imgur.com/tWxXRta.png I took a short break for something to eat when I dropped down onto the level...

Here's how I spent my lunchtime today;

It rained most of the way and there was quite a bit of snow on the top of the climb; no time for phots though.

If you're in the general vicinity sometime we could do another 'two tunnels'...

It's rare for me to head up towards Lundun but if I do I'll look forward to a grand tour.

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Been to the gym this evening and had a session on the spin bike, needed to after the weekend's weather. I've now had sub 19min times for my virtual 7miles for the last two visits, which is more than a 10% improvement from when I started. 7miles in 18mins 47secs = a virtual 22.4mph! I'm not going to ...

That's a good milestone to achieve Mr B. 8)

No ride this weekend, though the snow has melted very quickly today and the roads are pretty much clear now, if very wet.
