Only in America, with a hand picked jury from Apple's 'Home town' favoured an American company over an Eastern company. Quelle surprise eh? Don't forget a German court recently ruled in Samsung's favour in a similar case. The patent system in the USA is out of control, in a competitive market the id...

Saw these at The Astoria in '94 and Glastonbury '98. I have their one and only album 'Stacked Up' on dble vinyl and like 'em a lot. Was pleased to see they reformed a few years back. As for the thread's title 'Musical Brilliance' probably not in terms of technical virtuosity but measured on the Plea...

I got one I got one! :D Here's a vid I put on Youtoob with some old photos of mine as a background montage. Tingly bit 5:40 to end, when second guitar solo cuts in providing a nice dirty contrast to what's gone down previously. First heard by me in Nov '68, still makes me feel rather good https://ww...

Another idea to bypass external optical drive is to get a USB stick big enough to hold Win 7 OS, copy Win 7 to it and boot from that. You can also install windows from a usb flash drive I've seen it somewhere on the web how to make a bootable flash drive and I think that some computer manufacturers...

Hmm, I have a million of dem moments so why can't I think of any atm? Ok, this may qualify, to me it's one of those songs that if you're driving make you do 100mph, kinda like The Doors' LA Woman. Bloc party's Positive Tension featuring the only cuss word on the album and it's that moment, around 3:...

No Netbooks have an optical drive, a netbook is usually purchased cos they is small and adding an optical drive would make them less than small. It's a given when buying a netbook you gonna need an external drive. Right, Win 7. All you pay for is the licence to use the software in the form of an act...

Now have a Denon DL110 high output MC cartridge fitted to the one with the Mayware arm. The Mayware arm, incidentally, took a helluva lot of setting up to get it just right, mucho tinkering abounded but I think I have it at optimum settings now, though I could be wrong. So, 110 on one, Denon DL103 o...

I've used These in the switchers I've made.
Not saying they're the best but they're only switching 0V to one end of a relay coil.

Welp, such was the intensity of that last post I just have to answer that I can't stand in ear 'phones, they make me feel uncomfortable. Each time I've tried them I feel like a bug has crawled in my ear and I have to pull 'em out quick. Perhaps I'm odd but I mention it to inform some folk that not e...
