Re: what are you doing ?

Cheers Simon, a little more time would have been nice, and a bit more air time for your Soekris DAC, but I guess you can pop over again...

I had the pleasure of listening to Steve's amp through his Mission speakers today. Very nice, extremely easy to listen too. I would call it a win!

Re: what are you doing ?

Currently on a train heading for King's Cross after a trip up North to visit Steve C; Simon popped over too. It was very good to Steve 'back on his feet'. We enjoyed some very nice music and a good chat. Thanks are due to Mrs. C for looking after us. Here's hoping we can have another get together la...

So how did it perform?

Re: Zero emission road vehicles.

I heard about a diesel bus that caught fire out around here a little while back, it was long enough ago that I can't remember the specifics of when/where but, curiously, it didn't make the BBC News page?

Pass Sony VFET Project

I mentioned in another thread that I'm working on a Nelson Pass Sony VFET project so having let the cat of the bag i thought I should follow up with some information about the build. I bought the PCBs and part kits, sans VFET devices, from the DIY Audio store - fortunately I have three pairs of 2SK6...

Re: Big Mosfets

Have you a cunning plan for them Ray ? Yes, I'm scheming with a guy on DIY Audio, Phil, I can't share a schematic yet but it'll be on the theme of the Pass VFET design https://www.diyaudio.com/community/attachments/diy-sony-vfet-amplifier-os2-pdf.1035400/ I'm working on a build of the 2SK60 variant...

Re: Nothing In Particular

After work today, I took three more bags of surplus possessions to a charity shop and two bags of clothes that couldn't be donated to the air ambulance collection skip. I've reduced my wardrobe by about 50%. Books next!

With the talk of a cold snap and snow falling in the SE, here's a drone's eye view over Creech St. Michael, near Taunton, looking SE - we get our snow in liquid form down here!

Transformer covers

Can anyone make use of some toroidal transformer covers (or any other use you can put them to)? I have two large (internal dimensions of around 14cm diameter and 6cm high) and one small (7.5cm x 3.5cm). They're unused and unmarked. £4each for the large, £2.50 for the small or £10 for all three. Re: Nothing In Particular

Started a top to bottom declutter today - very therapeutic.

Six large bags dropped off at the British heart Foundation shop including items of clothing we had forgotten about, some still with labels!
