Okeydokey, I'll hunt around for some scraps of ply in the joiners bin for the new and improved side wings, and I'll have a scrabble around for inductors too, we don't use many here in the 'shop TBH. If we can reduce the shouty-ness I think that may improve them a fair bit, the upper mids have that P...

Just listened to most of Al Stewarts Past Present & Future with the speakers like this... http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z109/davethebass1/CIMG8867.jpg ...and played about with them from time to time. Moving back to the corners and into the curtains kills the 'life' of the sound it seems. Br...

Ok, I'm gonna move the Fonken and sandystand on the right hand side of the room to get the OB into a position where the rear wall and curtain come into play and I'll shift the rocking chair and Mr Bloo-snake out just for a test.

Back in a while...

You now need to start experimenting with positioning and side wings etc. The problem you invariably get with these things is that the baffle will vibrate as it is virtually flapping in the breeze. Try the MDF damping at the bottom. You can make some tapered wings out of cardboard, fastened in place...

So you like them then :D Steve Well, TBH I'd fibbing if I said they were the bestest thing ever. A quick appraisal... Top-OK actually, there's a genuine 'hear through' quality about it that I've head in SteveS, Pauls and Nicks OB's but unfortunately that's where the similarity's cease :( It's also ...

Hi Dave I'll be back with a drawing soon. Steve Many thanks Steve, as a guess I've done a radius on the existing slanting corner using an 18" fruit bowl (M+S!) as template. I'm just making up an Oval template to cut the hole of the weird looking bass/mid range unit whilst having a coffee :) DTB
