why should they be any different when faced with fixed or cathode bias. I would suggest because the different type of bias tent to also mean other changes are made to the circuit around the valve. For example cathode bias is normally bypassed with a cap, this adds a time constant to the bias, fixed...

Not sure what you mean "set for" in terms of the cathode resistor, the CCS will force the voltage on the anode of the valve so it passes whatever current the CCS is "set for", with the grid condition at whatever that current created going through the cathode resistor. In other wo...

Looks about right 31ma per output valve. 28/880 = 0.031A (V/R = I)

EL34 dissipating ( 375 - 28 ) * 0.031 = 11W
