Here's some of my photos, before I had to dash. Thanks again to Steve for organising. Sadly I had to dash soon after lunch as we had visitors this weekend - at least I got to hear some of the kit and have a bit of a catch up. I see Andrew's started a new thread for photos so I'll wang a few on there later.

but I'm thinking it's a bit premature to count eggy out so soon......I think Steve has still to find out what the last word is I asked the woman behind the bar what was happening - she said the power station wasn't closing down but "no one was using the social club" and "have to see ...

Finished Nick's DAC buffer today. Well, when I say finished - it's working so I can tweak it now. Did anyone else notice how quickly it seemed to get dark tonight? I looked out of the window at work about 5 and felt a sudden attack of SAD. Soon be Chrimbo.

"Noob" question alert!

A slight diversion to the PRE II. I seem to recall it had a gain of 3 or 5 but I never understood how a 6922 only had such a small gain. The CF is pretty much unity so is it in the curves?

Cool, I have queried the pricing, but from the quote it seems to be right. Including vat each board is £4.56 if we get 50, which from interest is certain. The controllers are £1.53 each, socket are 5p each. There are 4 220R and 3 1k resistors needed as well, Rapid do them in bags of 100, so if I go...

No worries Mike, just wasn't sure if I was having a Sunday-night-back-to-work-Monday brain fade.

Not sure what point you're trying to make Mike. :? I don't think Nick is offering to supply perhaps 50-odd boards ready to go at cost? I read it that we can have the boards, the boards and the processor, or the boards and the processor and the other bits (potentially). The point I was making is that...

Yes, most bits are easy enough but the flashed controller is a bit fundamental for me!

I'm still unconfirmed unfortunately. I have 3 things happening on Saturday including friends over for the weekend so it's going to be difficult, but I'm hoping to at least put an appearance in. Got to say goodbye to Eggy! If both Steve C and Ant can't make it can someone else lives locally take char...
