Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Well when I wasn't indulging in refined carbs this Easter, I bonded a little with my mudplugger and got wet.... New steering bearings, regreased and set the wheel bearings and I've been fiddling with my stem (missus....) actually it's a little too high, now. I can see myself slowly 'customising/ rui...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

Haha, see that baby that was me..... But I would have come to a grinding halt and a very sodden end if I'd stopped pedalling for a moment through those small ponds.... I do rather like my Halfords cheapie, it seems to weigh rather a lot, and the front 'forks' are a swizz (one of them is empty!) but ...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

I had some muddy fun on Wednesday on my new toy- a 'new-to-me' Halfords mountainy thingy, far too clean so I muddied it up (and me!) .... I took it round my local tracks and found some very deep puddles.... The mudguards I bought new, they virtually doubled the price of the thing! And they were path...

Re: The Audio-Talk Cycling thread.

remove mudguards Only if you never go out when it's wet, or never go off road. Seconded! I keep meaning to fit them to my Dawes, my only bike (I have three!) that doesn't have them.... Distant memories of sitting in Manchester Uni lecture theatres with a wet bum all morning have scarred me for life!
