Funnily enough even I'm getting a few pangs of doubt bringing this beasty up as is.... Resist those pangs dear boy, we need your amp, yes, w...

Re: Owston '19 what are you bringing

Just seen this..... I have a mercury spillage kit or two, I can bring one up. Although any risk of exposure is very slight, it's been identified and discussed so would be appropriate I think. However, much more useful I think, as the rectifiers are already in a contained chassis, would be to put the...

Ooooph!

Yep, not the sort of work I'd have hoped for!

Actually I was wondering if the piston had +.02 or somesuch on its crown.....

Edit: I've just seen you've err flattened it!

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

The swarf and burring on that flat head screw looks like it was created by tightening too. Are there any markings on the piston crown that might suggest it's 'had work', DTB?

Re: Nothing In Particular

My pleasure DTB- amazing what you see in charity shops nowadays!

Your Quad ESL's are looking at home here! They've spurred me on to building a 5687/5687 IT 300b amp to drive them, which sounds much better than the WE91 copy I used when you dropped them off.....

Yep, quite happy to take care of them for you DTB!

I'm actually moving to the dark side and building a little EL84 pp amp which might drive them quite nicely.....

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

On the Moto Guzzi forums there are any number of stories about the plastic fuel tanks, which the newer V7 models had (but MG have latterly gone back to steel), swelling, to the extent that if you take the tank off, it won't go back on and the bolt holes won't line up! Same with a lot of the...
