Nick,

you'd be wanting to use Cast Acrylic (perspex) then as oposed to the hot rolled stuff. The cast is much much structurally sound.

Eddy, Input is 9 Vac and out is 6.3Vdc. Not sure on the current demand but the 9vac secondary off the torroidal TX was spec'd at 2amps. They are as good as any other ceramic sockets I seen on ebay. I don't think the lack of gold plating will make any sonic difference.

I get a "squeeky fart" noise when the VR tube fires up,is that normal ? Doesn't make this noise on my gm70 monoblocs. Just a short delay on switch on before they light up with that wonderful azure glow. Sure you've not been at those sprouts or roasted chestnuts too much over Christmas? Ma...

Andrew,
What about Audyn MKP 400v (Q4 series) from http://diyparadiso.com/price/stock-capacitor.htm

These are only 4.24 Euro each? Plus p&p of course. Might be worth a shot.

JUST A BIKER

JUST A BIKER I saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But you didn't see me put an extra £10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday. I saw you pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But you didn't see me playing Santa at the local Mall. I saw you c...

Ian, I too have found similar with Fedex from stuff airfrieghted from Australia. However, be prepared to recieve a invoice from them in about a weeks time for the duty and VAT customs may have levied on the goods. Plus of course the Fedex charges for clearing the goods through customs for you. They ...

Nick, Regards the pp amp you posted details of from SP. I have the power and OPTs from my WAD KaT6550...
