Its maybe time to upgrade the RS3's to something a bit better, heard Colins speakers at Owsten and knew they were the next step. Don't have a lot of details on them, cost, options etc so thought I'd ask w...

Big thanks to Ali for taking the time to look at my amp. Great that the voltages check out, good piece of mind. Ali suggested some internal upgrades for me, caps, stepped pot etc, so will need to take those circuit boards off to do the work. Will post better photo's of that browned out resistor and ...

That said, the voltage at my place is anywhere between 210 and 240 ish, not great. There are adjustable pots next to each output valve, I bias them with...

Valva amp threw a wobby last night...any thoughts please?
Bit of a brown trouser moment last night with the valve amp. Its a Chinest 230V rated KT88 Chinese push pull. Its powered directly from a balanced mains transformer unit. I have a Belkin mains conditioner also wired from the BPS, which I plug in anything with a switching psu (TV box, router etc) to ...

Sound quality Stephen. Also, its not really plug n play enough for the average punter. ok for us lot though. :) Intersting thread, just saw it. Not sure about Pi myself tbh, had a play and dont reckon its quite there yet. RaspyFi and Squeezelite with the appropriate DAC seem to have good reports so ...
