Quite a few 6U5G on eBay at the moment, if it's actually the valve that's faulty.The non-essential-but-oh-so-cool (IMO) 'tuning indicator' doesn't work on it though unfortunately, its a 6U5G.

It was interesting to revisit this after a fair break. The hum is greater on the right channel than the left. Connected to 18" Fane drivers which will be around 97/98dB the right channel is low but audible. Back in the day, many of our amps hummed like this and we were quite pleased with them ...

Might be my imagination, but it seems to work a lot better than ever before. If that's true, it's most likely because half of the component values are no longer cock-eyed.
