Anthony, do a search on eBay for 'full range drivers' You should find a couple of sellers in UK to sell a range from 5inch, 6.5, 8, 10, 12 full range drivers. They have the parasitic tweeter like Fostex et al, paper cones and cost about £12 each !!!!!! really. Now I don't know if they are any good o...

Of course Anthony, that's fine, but I'm a bit confused... there is a 6volt heater winding on the mains transformer - you do mean this don't you? Would you like to wait till Eggy for the 5KPP transformers? (saves postage) They will give more power to 2A3s and 6B4Gs / 6S4S because the output transform...

Having tried to hanmandle Captin Snr Bass's Saburos, when I built mine I put a 'handle' on the backs. This helps and I'm good for about 20 yards before I need to mop my sweaty brow and take a rest. A Sab is half a Sach, as I see it. Two burly men in the best of health might manage them - cerrikkey! ...

Yes it is bad, I only had one decent talk with him and only realised just before he went down to the Radcliffe earlier this year that he only lived over the fields from me. Paul was a nice chap. We were due to have a tea and a session. It would be good to send our condolences / thoughts to his famil...

Surely, Anthony the 7F8Ws are driving 2A3s into useful aural heaven - they did mine! So............ they would do 6S4S too. I have a brand new pair of Maplin 5KPP transformers still in their boxes and going spare. They cost something like £49.93p. Is that too much? Also, ECC99 or 6N6Ps (I've got 6N6...

I've had the PT15 for a couple of years and never realy used it that much. Id doesn't excite me but I am running it on very low voltage; either 220v or 350volts and this is a valve that can take much more. I use a C3G to drive it. This is a very smooth operator. I really should give it a decent goin...

Anthony, are you still mulling this over? I dug out a pair of rushin 6S4S (6B4G-whatever). I once had four; have lost one, one went the way of ...well I put 80volts through the heater! one rattles and one is wholly hale and hearty. I've just made a 'converter' so I can plug 6B4Gs into B5 (PT15 socke...

back in the days I did a little track cycling we used to call it 'devil take the hindmost' - what actually happened often were spectacular pile ups, grazed knees, elbows and a NEED for t/l/c from those who loved us - so yes! a bit like valves really. A2 is the way, the truth and definitely the light...
