Monkey Media is worth a look too. Nicer to use than Foobar (IIRC) and there's a free version (my favourite price).

I reckon that's got legs Dave. Some of the valve classifications might need a bit of work though

Thanks for explaining Mike, still struggling with it though - I've never really "got" electrickery . I can just about understand what an LM317 and a sense resistor are doing but yours is a bit of a leap for me.
