Well, I hope to have the health to be able to do all the things I can't do now. If all I've got to look forward to is the internet 3 might come a lot sooner than I imagined

Monkey Media is worth a look too. Nicer to use than Foobar (IIRC) and there's a free version (my favourite price).

Thanks for explaining Mike, still struggling with it though - I've never really "got" electrickery :(. I can just about understand what an LM317 and a sense resistor are doing but yours is a bit of a leap for me.

Anyway, looking forward to the pcbs for those of us scared of silicon :).

Been trying to remember what I did when I built 6EM7, memory's a fickle thing! I had a look back - there are a few threads on the Barker/Kaufman. Mine's here: http://www.audio-talk.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=185 Colin's is here: http://www.audio-talk.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=909 And Dave's (&q...

That's your lot. I really enjoyed the weekend - it was great to catch up and talk valves with fellow like-minded oddballs. Thanks for organising again Steve, roll on the next one. :).

I missed the later fun on the Saturday night, and the early stuff on Sunday, which was a more chilled and shorter day. Starting with Phil's GM70 and his speakers. A close-up of his computer monitors. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g201/simon2a3/Owston%2015%20May%202010/58.jpg Then Phil connected ...
