No, what I meant was that UAC was one of the additions that MS added to make it harder for viruses to take control, on top of you will also be (I guess) using a firewall and anti virus program.

I've found Vista much more user friendly by turning user account control off. Which is a complete and utter pain in the #@&%* Shame that, as its IMHO the best thing they added, problem is most apps don't take advantage so it becomes a pain. Done properly it would only be noticed if the app need...

Don't you remember the stickers on the bottom of modems (analog ones), "For use with british telecommunication and kingston upon hull communication networks"
