Oh-kay, what is ... 10^-4? With the device ultimately intended, = JVR-10N330K (not this very one, actually, it was a last minute change) that is its leakage current in Amperes at 20V. :?: I make it 10 uA & 2 Megohms. Ack-shirley if I read the graph right, it's more like 10^-4.5 ? 2uA 10 Megohms?...

Not arf Steve, well I dunno it makes the 801A amp sound flat and boring, (which in turn made the 300B version sound harsh and 'orrible) Makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong with the latter two http://livinginthepast-audioweb.co.uk/images/misc/huh.gif Eerrmm.... http://livinginthepast-audioweb.co.uk/...

It'll do for most practial purposes I reckon ~ plus no magnetic field and hardly any weight of course :D I was a bit puzzled why 23V but of course that's plus the gate Voltage, therefore the gate is biased to +3V. Depending on how little ripple on the reservoir the 20V Zener drop could be reduced ac...

OK the prototype is running in Rocky IV as I type; so far have only measured the input / output ripples with the Fluke on AC. DC drop i/p to o/p - 23V i/p ripple, 2.3VAC r.m.s. o/p ripple ~ bit difficult to get, the DC does wander about a bit, (mains fluctuating and Fluke is in millovolts range), ho...

After not having a chance to even look at it for a few days, last couple of nights manged to finish more bits, got all the last resistors in last night then this afternoon finally got the vol pot installed and screened leads wired up (why does this part seem to take forever?). Also got the toggle sw...
