My new loaded scratchplate has landed in the country.
Sadly HMRC have charged me £38 or so for the privilege.
Good news is that it's down for delivery on Tuesday.

Just been looking through the list, and they do them for guitar too. There is one thing I did notice, which makes things wrong for a Telecaster - there's mention of reduced cross-talk between the strings. The sound of a Telecaster is partly made up by the cross-talk between the strings, and to use a...

I think we've been here before Chris. It's slimserver 6.2.2. The NAS unit is very frugal(very old) and won't run anything that doesn't have sqlite...so I'm stuck with 6.2.2. I am in the process of putting a fanless atom box together so things may change in the near future. meanwhile I just put the ...

I just put the streaming url into the favourites on my SB and just point and click....no good for the bbc though! Which version of server are you using Ed? BBC iPlayer has featured on Squeezebox Server/Logitech Media Server for some time now. I'm running LMS 7.7.1 on a Zyxel NSA310 , so no great pr...

It was quite a fruitful afternoon's listening.
And at the end of the session things were sounding very, very good indeed, with plenty of snap and swing - all in all a very enjoyable listen :D

also try ordering a lefthand tremolo cover with a slot like the latest strats, Fender make them but nobody stocks them why did SRV have to have a LH trem, :? SRV didn't have a cover for the trem stuff on his own guitar - it's not a problem so long as you don't play the guitar nekkid and low slung :...

That's looking good David. Now if I recollect correctly Fender originally supplied the guitar with two scratchplates (I don't think they do any longer), one like the one on yours and one with the SRV engraving. And I prefer the plain one myself. Stevie Ray himself preferred letters that had fallen o...

very nice Chris, I do like tortoise reminds me of the 50s which one are you putting it on? The one that started the thread  It's literally a drop in replacement, so it should be easy enough to, with the minimum of soldering work. I have to come clean and admit to ordering this, except I'm ge...

I've decided that I'd prefer to have a more traditional Stratocaster configuration, and I've found this on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Jeff-Beck-Hot-Noiseless-Loaded-Pickguard-Tortoise-Aged-White-/130686081714?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%...
