I have never heard a mono recording played with a dedicated mono cartridge, but would like to one day. I did on Saturday, it was a Denon 102 (I think) on an EMT TT, I didn't 'miss' any sonic info pleasure lets just say that. The chap that bought my Rogers has 1 TT for stereo recordings and 1 for Mo...

Hi Dave Playing mono records with a stereo cartridge will harm neither the record, nor the stylus. Playing stereo records with a mono cartridge on the other hand will do the record no good at all as a mono cartridge only traces horizontally and has no vertical compliance so it simply ploughs throug...

The order for 2 Mesh plate 2A3's went in last night, thanks for the advice chaps. If I get lucky and sell WD88VA I'll invest in some NOS RAC's too but for now I'll have to 'make do' with TJ's.
