Yes, I did not make myself clear there.

I had no intention of implying that one could use diffferent types of VRs in parallel. Simply that one could parallel the same VR to double the current capability.

Of course you can ... and I've done it but you are still limited by the current they can pass (OD3 and OC3 for examp. are still only capable of 30ma) so you can parallel them too, in principle. I haven't done that.
