I have the RCA 112A data sheet, and yes there are all sorts of things on the internet, but not all can be believed.
Exactly which is why I wondered why you posted
although I have read that slightly starving filaments may be an improvement.

I just looked at the spec sheet for the 12A.

You can read all sorts of things on the internet.

Or 0.25A as the rest of the world would describe it. Some may argue you would need to adjust the current until you get 5v across the filament.

Re: Something stirs in the Undergrowth

not the voltage, and this current is 90 deg out of phase with the voltage for an inductor.
Yes, but the voice coil is not a inductor, its a motor, so the power factor angle will be less than 90.

Re: what are you doing ?

Wasn't about to let a 13 year old loose with sharp objects
I have a memory of using a woodworking lathe to make a candlestick holder in first or second year woodwork at secondary school, so that would be around that age.

Yep, like Mark did for a few seconds I was thinking in terms of optics where solids have a slower speed of propagation. Unfortunately reality gets in the way again.

I built a F2 and a F5, I got the fets to make a F3 but never made it. Should still have them somewhere.

Re: FET and mosfet: reading numbers.

It should say, but here are two sheets from the same company for the same device that show different pinouts. Re: PT15 PSE design

"1950's" and "DC amplifier design" likely driven by military servo control requirements I would guess and balancing the LTP in op amps.

Not that that stops it being a interesting idea.

Is it this doc?

Re: Something stirs in the Undergrowth

Maybe its worth asking a few naive questions then. What is that the horn that is doing that makes you want to use it? Does the problem(s) it solves be solved in any other way? I assume the size of the horn is controlled by the wavelength of the sound? Could you make something that works like a horn ...
