Re: Transcendent Mini Beast Build

So that's about 3.5 pence per hour, or 28p for 8 hours use.

Not a lot really. :)

Re: Food complaints ?

The initial response from Aldi is to replace the item, or give me a refund, all of £1.49.

I'm a bit underwhelmed.

Food complaints ?

I had a Cornish pasty for lunch today, and the filling contained a piece of plastic film, which I did not notice till I started chewing on it.

Where best to complain ?

The supplier (Aldi) or local council ?

Grounding boxes ?

It seems that "grounding boxes" can lower the noise level on hi-fi components by using a high tech composite sandwich material to convert the unwanted noise into heat. Given that they are reported to "work" can anyone guess as to how ? An example here. http://www.hifiplus.com/articles/stand-your-gro...

Re: Nothing In Particular

Nice one Shane, just love that 3 cylinder exhaust beat. :D

The diesel up the rear (ooh err) might have been providing electric heating for the passengers rather than pushing.

Re: Nothing In Particular

I went to Brooklands today on a coach trip.A lot to see and we enjoyed the Concorde experience. In the bus museum was a very old bus, I forget the year (EDIT 1920s Tilling Stevens) but it had solid tyres. The remarkable thing was the petrol engine drove a generator and there was an electric motor to...

Dental matters.

My hygienist gave me a friendly rollocking the other day regarding my cavalier attitude to dental flossing.

Anyway, I'm taking things more seriously now and wondered if a water flosser might be a good thing ?

Any opinions Thomas ?

It look like it made of brass.

Or just a trick of the lighting?
Trick of the light Mike. The plate is stainless steel, so it's still as non-magnetic.
Are you sure it's non magnetic ? :?

Every stainless item in my kitchen is attracted to a magnet.

Re: Nothing In Particular

I'm at Potters holiday resort (Hopton-on-sea) this week for a bowls break.

Internet access is poor, so can't get online much.

Having a good time, won £120 on the bingo last night. :D :D :D :D :D

MSI Manchester.

I'm planning a visit to MSI (museum of science and industry) in Manchester in the near future.

Going by train from Low Moor (Bradford). Are there any other interesting places to visit in that area ?
