MM Cartridge Help

Odd request as I would normally be more decisive! Must be my age  Daughter has gone all retro recently and has been pestering me for a Turntable. I've finally caved in and sorted her an old Toshiba amp and 'speakers. TT will be my PL-71 but I need a cartridge. Digging through my spares box Iv...

Re: MAC addresses

MAC addy is burnt into the Ethernet controller but you can overlay it with a soft one. IE in Windows in properties for the controller, think you may also be able to change it temporarily using ARP from the command line

Edit ....ARP is for setting the IP if you know the MAC

Re: Rust converter.

Phil, I’ve used this extensively on my cars: https://www.rust.co.uk/product/cat/fe-1 ... nverter-10 Having 40 yr old Italian ones you have too!

Another good one I’ve used is Dinitrol RC900, this one requires no secondary coating but I always cover with Dinitrol 4941 or similar

Re: Tesla.

The issue with all battery development is the trade that has to be made between power, density, capacity, life and cost. All technologies today have to trade at least two of them to have the others, so I can have great power, density and life but the cost will be high and capacity too small etc.

Re: Tesla.

New developments are all well and good like the sodium battery but getting them out of the lab and into cost viable mass production is another thing entirely and will take many years. The issues around hydrogen production and storage still remain, even though this is dated 2018 this is still relevan...

Re: Tesla.

There are huge issues with hydrogen fuel cells, from the cost of production to the amount of energy required to produce it, to the storage of it and the distribution of it. It’s a green house gas and leakage from storage and distribution alone makes it a non starter. The world is moving to EV, we wi...

Re: Tesla.

Afaik the bmw i3 range extender as an example uses a small twin cylinder motorBike Engine in a derated performance configuration to charge the battery only to extend the range. The engine has insufficient HP to be able to give the car any real world performance if it where to drive the wheels directly
