Anton - so it is still a waste of time trying to talk to you, when you grow up and stop throwing your toys around (as you did on the forum) we will talk again - or not - up to you.

Re: Monacor SP-310CX Coaxial Driver MLTL's

Chris, No need for thanks mate I enjoyed making these and glad they have worked out so well in your room. These coax drivers are really something special as testament to how good they perform in the 3-way OB speakers and Scott did a brilliant job with the XO to get the best from the driver. You do r...

Re: Monacor SP-310CX Coaxial Driver MLTL's

Finally managed to find the time to complete these speakers, with today making the second of the grilles. The XO components were delivered Friday morning but it wasn't until Saturday night when I had some spare time I built the XO filters and mounted the components on some spare 3mm ply boards. As a...

Niiiiice :D And still, us owners of non-normal hardware have to lie on our sides to fully appreciate the workmanship.   Pesky Apple. Hadn't realised that Steve. I have taken these photos on my new Samsung Galaxy mobile phone portrait mode but when I open them up on my laptop (W10) u...

Re: Monacor SP-310CX Coaxial Driver MLTL's

Update for those following the thread: Both cabinets are now finished and waxed. Though I carefully damped the veneer paper just sufficiently to whet out the paper to remove it, it did leave a little glue residue on the veneer. This only became visible after the veneer had fully dried after removing...

Re: EDINGDALE speaker build

I should clarify that the 'SR' version of the Edingdale is a further development of the all new MKII. Both versions use the same basic speaker cabinet design which is the same height as the originals but a little wider and less deep to maintain the same internal volume. Both versions have completely...

Re: EDINGDALE speaker build

Colin, You said that the new, improved Edingdales with the replacements for the Mark Audio woofers are a big improvement. Any chance you could describe the improvements in detail? Thanks. That's a difficult one to put into words. I would say they draw one more into the music with a more engaging li...

Re: The Audio-Talk Motorcycling thread.

I had a ride over to Harley dealership in Preston this morning as they had a special launch event for the new 2018 Sportster range of bikes. Thought I'd just pop along to see what changes, if any, there are to the Superlow1200T that I own. Seems only a paint job change and a price hike. So I won't b...

Re: Fane 15" full range speaker

Nice! I wonder why the rest of the world keeps mucking about with Lowthers when these exist. Probably because the Thiele Small Parameters for the Fane 15" FR driver suggest it requires a sealed cabinet of internal size of at least 300 Litres for it to work to it's full potential and the fact the of...
